Thank you for all your help and support with the Christmas Fair. We have made a record breaking £3,000 and the money is still coming in.
We’ll let you know how we spend the fundraising. Initial ideas from children and staff are to buy new reading books and to develop the garden quad.
Reckitt Benckiser have kindly donated lots of cleaning products for us to sell at our Christmas Fair. All products will be on sale for £3 or less. Grab yourself a bargain!!

Thank you so much for the donation of food for the Harvest Collection.
It weighed an amazing 162 kg, enough to provide over 400 meals.
Mr Bond, who designed our fantastic new Academy logo, has now updated our ‘Gimme 5’ logo as well. It still has the same five expectations for children’s behavior in our school.
We are extremely pleased to say that as of 1st October we are Hatchell Wood Primary Academy, part of the Rose Learning Trust. Please click on the trust link and the letter below to find out more information about this exciting development.
We had a great first week back last week. The children came back to school with a fantastic, positive attitude and got started in their new classes with enthusiasm. Our new reception children had a wonderful time in their classes and getting to know the school and routines.
Thank you for sending you’re children looking so smart in their school uniform last week.
Could we just remind you;
Please ensure all items of clothing are clearly labelled with your child’s name so they can be returned if misplaced
Skirts musts be of a suitable length for school and not too short
Please remember the only jewellery permitted are small stud-type earrings and a wrist watch. These must be removed by children themselves for P.E. lessons
Children should wear black shoes, not trainers please. If children do attend in trainers, they will be given black indoor pumps to change into
We will let you know in due course about how to purchase new jumpers and cardigans with the new academy logo on. There is no expectation that you have to replace current jumpers or cardigans or that you are required to have a jumper with the new logo on
Can I also remind parents that nail varnish/nail art and temporary tattoos are not permitted
Hope you have all had a good summer.
School opens again on Tuesday 5th September

Doncaster Council have launched their Parent Demand survey to pull together information on childcare needs in Doncaster – and they want your views!
The responses from the survey will be analysed together with childcare places information and take into account local socio, economic and demographic factors. This will contribute to identifying any gaps in the provision of sufficient, affordable, accessible, quality childcare places and inform future planning.
